Joe Wheeler elects board

Joe Wheeler EMC celebrated its 70th year of service at the annual meeting April 14 along with new board elections for the upcoming year. The results of the election were announced at the annual meeting. In District 1, incumbent Ricky Knouff had no opposition. District 2 incumbent Andrew McCay defeated opponents Royal Carpenter and Randall LouAllen with 53 percent of the vote. McCay had 1,964 total votes, while Carpenter had 753 and LouAllen had 972 votes. District 3 incumbent Wayne Anderton also ran with no opposition.
After the meeting, the board met to select new Board officers for 2007 - 2008. The new board president is Ricky Knouff, vice president is Pearl Jackson-Green and secretary is Shirley Livingston.
