Funeral for Bessie Mae Walker, 71, of Danville was Friday, April 13, at 3 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Donnie McDonald and Hal Daigre officiating.
Burial was in Johnson Chapel Cemetery.
Mrs. Walker died Wednesday, Apr. 11, 2007, at her residence. She was born August 27, 1935 in Morgan County to Charley Jackson Bolan and Lollar Cowart Bolan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Walker; her children’s father, Doyle Stover, four brothers, James H. Bolan, John T. Bolan, Alvin W. Bolan and Everett E. Bolan; a sister, Betty Brown; and a grandson, Justin Pirtle.
She is survived by a son, Wayne Stove and wife Shelia; two daughters, Donna Terry and husband Kenny and Shelia Pirtle and husband Gary; two brothers, Melvin Bolan and Charles Bolan; a sister, Janie Bryant; four granddaughters, Danielle Brooks, Fallon Pirtle, Kenni Jo Sholar, and Brooke McIntire; two grandsons, Brent Stover and Craig Stover; nine great-grandchildren; and her caregiver, Ms. Jo Shaddrix.
Pallbearers were Chris Brooks, James Bryant, Craig Stover, Brent Stover, Lee Simmons and Jimmy Bolan,
Honorary pallbearers wewre Logan Barkley, Joe Bolan and Mike Bolan.
