Roman ‘Joel’ Segars

Funeral for Roman “Joel” Segars, 64, of Hartselle was Monday, April 2, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Randy Davis officiating.
Burial was in Hartselle Memory Gardens.
Mr. Segars died Thursday, Mar. 29, at Huntsville Hospital. He was born December 25, 1942, in Morgan County to Melvin Grady Segars and Gertrude Tyler Segars. He was a veteran and was employed at Solutia in Decatur for 34 years. He attended Fellowship Baptist Church and was preceded in death by a son, Joel Wayne Segars, his parents, and brother, Harold Segars.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Linda “Pennie” Segars of Hartselle; a daughter, Dawn Denise Segars Daniel of Somerville; a sister, Shelby Jean Cole of Hartselle; a granddaughter, Kelli LeAnne Groves of Somerville; and a grandson, Raymond Joel Rowland of Somerville. Pallbearers were Matthew Sharp, Greg Colter, Larry Johnson, Jimmy Hill, Andy Martin and Dennis Tyler.
