Roger Smith’s two-run double in the bottom of the fifth inning ended the game on the mercy rule March 29.
Danville fell behind 2-0 after one inning before tying it up with two runs in the bottom of the first. The Hawks then scored four runs in the second and never trailed again.
Michael Veazey picked up the win for Danville, striking out two and allowing three hits in five innings of work. He also scored two runs.
Bryan Rogers and Parker Hogan each finished with three RBIs and a run scored. Dakota Wilson and Smith had two RBIs and Cody Taylor finished with one RBI. Zac Ward scored three runs; Randy Thomason, Taylor and Wilson each scored two runs and Jake Mahathy scored a run.
