Agee, Findlay to wed
Mr. and Mrs. James Darrell and Pam Agee of Hartselle announce the engagement of their daughter, Amanda Gayle to Lance Reid Findlay, the son of Dr. William D. and Betty Findlay of McCalla.
The future bride is the granddaughter of Helen Edington and the late Delano Edington of Reyno, Ark. and Gail and Colleen Osborn of Corning, Ark.
She graduated from The University of North Alabama in 1999 with a bachelor’s degree in communication arts and from Auburn University in 2001 with a master’s degree in communication. She is employed by Andrew Jackson University in their academic affairs department.
The future groom is the grandson of Geraldine Findlay and the late Alexander (Sandy) Findlay of McCalla and the late James C. Brown and the late Dorothy M. Brown Birmingham.
He graduated from The University of Alabama in 2003 with a bachelor’s degree in business/marketing. He is employed by Allstate Insurance on the National Catastrophe Team.
The wedding will be held Oct. 27 at Aldridge Gardens in Hoover.
Laney, Howell to wed
Tom and Barbara Anderson of Bolivar, Tenn. announce the engagement of their daughter, Penny Jane Laney, to Christopher Van Howell, son of Johnnie and LuJeanne Howell of Hartselle.
The future bride is the granddaughter of Shirley Barton of Bolivar, Tenn. and W.A. and Lorraine Laney of Bolivar, Tenn.
A graduate of Bolivar High School, she received her bachelor of science degree, cum laude, in human sciences from Mississippi State University. She is pursuing a master’s degree in education at the University of Montevallo.
She is a member of Delta Gamma sorority.
The future groom is the grandson of Van and Nagatha Morgan of Hartselle, the late Johnnie Howell, Charles and Debra Bryant of Decatur and the late Betty Bryant.
A 1997 graduate of Hartselle High School, he received his bachelor of science degree in civil engineering from The University of Alabama. He is assistant county engineer for Hale County.
The wedding is planned for May 19 at 6 p.m. at the home of the bride’s parents.
After the wedding, the couple will reside in Tuscaloosa.
Weinman, Black to wed
Doug and Bonnie Weinman of Hartselle announce the engagement of their daughter, Alison Shea Weinman to Jeffery Wayne Black of Athens, son of Christine Black of Athens and the late Jackie Black.
The future bride is the granddaughter of Pete and Rachel Ward of Hartselle and the late Paul and Bonnie Weinman. A 2000 graduate of Hartselle High School, she earned her bachelor of science degree in elementary education from Athens State University. She is employed with Redstone Federal Credit Union in Decatur.
The future groom is a 1999 graduate of West Limestone High School and currently attends Calhoun Community College. He is employed with Target Distribution Center.
The wedding is planned for May 12 at 2 p.m. at East Highland Baptist Church.
