Imogene Pike Varnell

A graveside service for Imogene Pike Varnell, 83, of Hartselle was Friday, Jan. 19, at 3 p.m. at Mt. Tabor Cemetery with the Rev. Pearl Jenkins officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Varnell died Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2007, at Falkville Health Care Center in Falkville. She was born November 29, 1923, to Lee Morgan Pike and Lizzie Delores Johnson Pike. She was a member of Hartselle First Church of God and was preceded in death by her husband, William F. Varnell, and two brothers, Mack Pike and Bill Pike.
She is survived by a son, Karl S. Byrd and wife Jo of Hartselle; two brothers, Montie Lee Pike of Las Vegas, Nev. and Evon Pike of Hartselle; four sisters, Irene Milam of Athens, Millie Crowe and Alice Dobbs, both of Hartselle and Geraldine Cloer of Falkville; a grandson, Stafford Byrd and wife Carin of Priceville; and a great-granddaughter, Rebecca Byrd of Priceville.
Nephews were pallbearers.
