Funeral for Larry Don Parker, 53, of Hartselle was Sunday, Dec. 24, at 2 p.m. at Hartselle Church of Christ with Phillip Hines and Daniel Gaines officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial was in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
Mr. Parker died Friday, Dec. 22, 2006, at his residence. He was born Aug. 5, 1953, in Morgan County to Lonnie Edward Parker and Hazel E. Parker.
He was a member of Hartselle Church of Christ. He was retired from the Decatur Police Department after more than 20 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lonnie Edward Parker.
He is survived by his wife, Janice Bennett Parker of Hartselle; two sons, Weston Don Parker and Bennett Edward Parker, both of Hartselle; his mother, Hazel E. Parker of Hartselle; and three brothers, Jimmy Parker, David Parker and Tommy Parker, all of Hartselle.
Pallbearers were Stanley Sparkman, Norris Suggs, Neel Bennett, Joe Powell, Wayne Bennett and Doug Moody.
