A Christmas message
Merry Christmas Hartselle! I am 30-years-young. I have lived in Athens, Florence and Decatur. For the last three years, I have lived in the wonderful town of Hartselle. It is my favorite. It is the best. I absolutely adore my town. This is my holiday greeting to you:
First of all, merry Christmas to the Hartselle Enquirer. You give this town freedom of speech and for this you should pat yourself on the back with your ink-stained hands.
Merry Christmas Main Street. You give your citizens an amazing nostalgia and old-town charm that is so beautiful and often lost in the metropolis of other “progressive cities.”
Merry Christmas Mr. Henry’s, Giovanni’s, Las Vias, Cahoots Caf/ and other locally owned restaurants that we are fortunate enough to have in our town. You supply us with tasty meals, superb service and always smiling faces. Who needs an Applebee’s or a Ruby Tuesday’s? Not me!
Merry Christmas Barkley Bridge Elementary School. You give me a sense of confidence and security as I watch my child walk through your doors. There are no words that could express my gratitude for that.
Merry Christmas Gilchrist Pharmacy. You are the place I run to for my Burt’s Bees hand salve.
Merry Christmas Hometown Grocery. You have the best chow-chow in town. My pintos would not be the same without you.
Merry Christmas William Bradford Huie Library of Hartselle. You give us the chance to constantly learn and discover more. We are so fortunate to have you.
Merry Christmas 105.7FM. You have the best sound on the airwaves and you know how to put trash in the garbage can.
Last, but not least, merry Christmas Man Down the Road. You always wear a bright orange hat, a smile and sincerely ask how I am doing. I do not know your name, but I do know you personify everyone in this amazing town.
Merry Christmas, Hartselle Alabama! I love you the most.
