Sulcer, Jenkins exchange vows
Lauren Brooke Sulcer of Hartselle and Corey Wade Jenkins of Hartselle wed Aug. 5, 2006 at 2:30 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church.
Rev. Gregory Brent Colee officiated the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Alton and Kathy Sulcer of Hartselle. The groom is the son of Bob and Kathi Jenkins of Hartselle.
The church was decorated with a large arrangement of cream and white lilies, roses and spring greenery. Jackson vine was also used.
The bride’s father gave her in marriage.
She wore a formal, designer gown of diamond white Duchess Satin. The strapless gown was fashioned with a molded bodice, delicately embellished with crystal beading in an intricate floral and leaf pattern. The slightly elongated waistline was emphasized with crystal beading. The Princess A-line skirt was also adorned with beading and swept to a semi-cathedral length train. Her cathedral length veil of imported French tulle was edged with beading that matched that of the gown and was held by a bridal tiara of pearls and crystals. The bride carried an armlay of Black Magic roses, purple calla lilies, and purple hydrangeas tied with sheer plum ribbon.
The maid of honor was Sunshine Lea Jenkins of Homewood. Attendants were Renee Marie Bass of Opelika; Barkley Aycock Franklin of Hiram, Ga.; Tiffany Charlene Freeman of Hoover; Kristin Nicole LeMaitre of Memphis, Tenn; Cristy LaShelle Pounders of Auburn; Terri Jay Chandler Preuitt of Hartselle; and Connie Michele Vest of Hartselle.
The maid of honor and bridesmaids wore matching formal gowns of plum colored silk chiffon and satin. The gowns featured an empire waistline adorned with a rope of beading and flowing skirts of chiffon.
Linda Paige Saraniti of Greenacres, Fla. was flower girl.
Wesley George of Hartselle was ringbearer.
The groom’s father was best man. Groomsmen were Gregory Joseph Adams Jr. of Birmingham; Nitin Bhasin of Boston, Mass.; Joseph Craig Campbell of Mobile; Benjamin David Hodges of Birmingham; Joshua Lee Howard of West Point; Jacob Pace Moore of Hartselle; and William Drew Senter of Birmingham.
The groomsmen served as ushers.
Music was provided by a string quartet: Valerie Fleming, violin; Laura Elrod, violin; Barbara Pettey, viola; and Desiree Juricic, cello.
A reception was held immediately following the ceremony at the First United Methodist Church Ministry Center.
The bride’s cake was six-tiered with white, basket weave-designed icing. Layers included white, strawberry, and pineapple flavored cakes. Strawberries, grapes and blueberries cascaded down the cake and were situated in between the layers of the cakes.
The groom’s cake was chocolate, yellow, and white cakes, covered with chocolate icing, also in a basket weave design. Chocolate-dipped strawberries lined the edges of the cake.
Bettye Cox of Birmingham, the bride’s aunt, directed the wedding.
Assisting with the wedding were Amy Canafax of Birmingham; Jessica Lynn of Auburn; Lucy Hester of Birmingham; Kayann Hayden of Ellijay, Ga.; Debbie Howard of West Point; and Michelle George of Hartselle.
Megan Emerson of Hartselle attended the bride’s book.
The couple enjoyed a seven-day Alaskan cruise from Vancouver British Columbia to Anchorage, Alaska.
The couple now resides in Huntsville.
The couple was honored with a rehearsal dinner hosted by the groom’s parents at All-Steak Restaurant in Cullman Aug. 4.

Reid, Emerson wed Sept. 29
Sabrina J. Reid of Falkville and Seth P. Emerson of Somerville were wed Sept. 29, 2006 at 6 p.m. at Somerville Baptist Church.
Rev. Johnnie Reid conducted the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Johnnie and Juanita Reid of Falkville. The groom is the son of Mark and Cam Emerson of Somerville.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a one-strap white dress adorned with pearls. She wore a floor-length veil held in place by a tiara and carried a bouquet of white flowers.
Lori Reid of Cullman was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Ginger Thompson of Cullman, Candace Corbin of Cullman, Brooke Hill of Falkville and Sandy Yearwood of Cullman.
Attendants wore chocolate brown dresses with seafoam green flowers.
McKinna Yearwood of Cullman was flower girl. Dawson Lindley of Somerville was ringbearer.
Best man was Brandon Emerson of Somerville. Groomsmen were West Aycock of Somerville, Adam Joiner of Cullman, Larry Couey of Somerville and Nathan Trust of Somerville.
Ushers were Brian Hill of Falkville, Eddie Reid of Cullman and Justin Crowder of Somerville.
Vocals were provided by Brooke Hill.
A reception was held at the church.
The bride’s table featured a four-tier white cake with a fountain. The groom’s table featured a two-tier chocolate cake.
Amy Yearwood directed the wedding. Assisting with the reception were Darlene Grantland, Susan Emerson, Kim Crowe, Susan Reid, Madesta Reid and Jamie Whited.
Katlyne Red and Chanler Crowe attended the bride’s book. Bubble and program attendees were Ashlie Reid and Tanya Reid. After a wedding trip to Cozumel, Mexico and the Cayman Islands, the couple is at home in Falkville.
