A graveside service for Ethel Key Morris, 99, of Hartselle will be Thursday, (today), Aug. 3, at 4:30 p.m. at Hartselle City Cemetery with the Revs. Robert Sparkman and Harold Thompson officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Visitation will be Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Morris died Monday, July 31, 2006, at Summerford Nursing Home. She was born Jan. 14, 1907, in Morgan County to Nathaniel Arthur Key and Nelie Murphy Key. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bertram C. Morris; her parents; a brother, Arthur Key; and a granddaughter, Joy Neal Whitten.
She is survived by a daughter, Mary M. Yarbrough and husband Jimmy of Hartselle; a son, James A. Whitten and wife, Ann of Hartselle; a granddaughter, Susan Y. Hays and husband Matt of Birmingham; four grandsons, Wes Whitten and wife Debbie, Tim Whitten and Joe Whitten, all of Hartselle and John David Whitten and wife Lisa of Priceville; seven great-grandchildren, Ashley Whitten, Jason Whitten, Gina Whitten, Leah Whitten, Gracie Whitten, Katie Whitten and Elizabeth Whitten-Webber; one great-great-granddaughter, Ayasha Whitten; a niece, Eula Key; and many friends and relatives.
Pallbearers will be Wes Whitten, Jason Whitten, John Whitten, Joe Whitten, Tim Whitten, Charles Yarbrough and Billy Pounders.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hartselle First United Methodist Church building fund or a favorite charity.
