HHS seniors join in state SADD efforts

By Staff
Hartselle High School SADD (Students Against Destructive Decisions) students are challenging seniors at their school to join seniors statewide in an effort to make sure Alabama doesn't lose a single member of the 2006 graduating class during graduation activities, including pre and post graduation parties and senior trips.
Seniors are being challenged to do everything in their power to make sure they and their classmates survive graduation activities, including reaching out to parents, adults, clergy and media.
Seniors and anyone aware of parties where alcohol is being served are asked to report it to local authorities to prevent driving accidents, alcohol poisoning and dangerous situations.
SADD wants the class of 2006 to be remembered for breaking the tradition of associating alcohol with graduation celebrations. SADD sponsors at HHS are Resource Officer Michael Hudson and school nurse Jean-Marie Davis.
