Funeral for Gayle Grantland, 59, of Hartselle was Friday, May 5, at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Harold Thompson, Robert Sparkman and Gary Miller officiating.
Burial was in Antioch Cemetery.
Mrs. Grantland died Wednesday, May 3, 2006, at Crestwood Hospital in Huntsville. She was born Dec. 4, 1946, in Morgan County to Herman Bud Johnson and Dorothy Roberts Johnson. She worked as a cashier at Hometown Grocery in Hartselle. She was a Methodist.
She is survived by her husband, Hollis Grantland of Hartselle; a son, Shawn Johnston of Somerville; a daughter, Erika Kilgore of Somerville; three step-sons, Phil Grantland, Jeff Grantland and Jon Grantland; three grandchildren; and six step-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were family and friends.
