M. Stanley Kracke

A graveside service for M. Stanley Kracke, 90, of Courtland was Friday, April 28, at 2 p.m. at Courtland City Cemetery with the Revs. Bill Reding and Mike Thomas officiating and Lawrence Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Kracke died Wednesday, April 26, 2006, at Parkway Medical Center. He was born Dec. 5, 1915, in Guntersville to Henry Kracke and Carrie Puryear Kracke.
He served in the U.S. Navy and also served in many civic activities in Courtland which included Boy Scouts, Courtland Industrial Board and City Council.
He was a rural letter carrier in the Courtland area for 40 years. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Barrie Kracke and seven brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his wife, Frances Wade Kracke of Falkville; a son, Brooks Kracke of Decatur; two daughters, Virginia Thomason of Montgomery and Carolyn Beyer of Tuscumbia; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Alan Thomason, Scott Letson, Bert Pippen and Robert Thomason.
