Kenneth Wayne 'K. V.' Vest

Funeral for Kenneth Wayne "K. V." Vest, 46, of Hartselle was Sunday, April 23, at 5 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Mason Booth and Harold Brown officiating.
Burial was in New Center Cemetery.
Mr. Vest died Friday, April 21, 2006, at Huntsville Hospital. He was born Sept. 26, 1959, in Hartselle. He was employed at Delphi as a machine operator and was a member of the UAW Auto Workers Union. He helped organize the Somerville Wagon Train and participated in the Annual Alabama Wagon Train. He dearly loved his son, Kody, and enjoyed coaching him in youth league sports. He always supported him and loved to watch him play basketball at Hartselle. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Hollis and Aleray Vest and Vaughan and Minnie Rea Booth.
He is survived by his son, Kody Wayne Vest of Hartselle; his father, Walter Vest of Montgomery; his mother, Sally Booth Cheatham of Hartselle; six brothers, Walter Shane Vest and wife Tiffany of Montgomery, Mark Walden and wife Claudia and Jackie Walden and wife Jane, all of Decatur, Brad Cheatham and wife Kathy and Greg Cheatham and wife Tara, all of Hartselle and Jeff Cheatham and wife Eve of Valdosta, Ga.; a sister, Aleta Hinson of Montgomery.
Pallbearers were Scott McCarley, Shane Vest, Brad Cheatham, Greg Cheatham, Jeff Cheatham and Jeff Pettit.
Close friends, cousins and co-workers served as honorary pallbearers.
