Funeral for Chester E. Helms, 64, of Falkville was Wednesday, April 19, at 11 a.m. at New Salem Baptist Church with Tim Helms officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial was in New Salem Cemetery.
Mr. Helms died Sunday, April 16, 2006, at his residence. He was born August 27, 1941, in Morgan County to Ollie Helms and Martha Lynetta Jones Matthews Helms.
He is survived by three sons, Lavon Helms and Tony Helms, both of Falkville, and Jason Helms of Hartselle; two daughters, Robin Whittle and Crystal Summers, both of Hartselle; 15 grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Lavon Helms, Tony Helms, Jason Helms, Josh Summers, Tim Helms and Toby Helms.
