Funeral for Dorothy Mae Walker, 85, of Somerville was Wednesday, March 29, at 11 a.m. at Antioch United Methodist Church with the Revs. Vandon Windsor and Brady McCullough officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial was in the adjoining cemetery.
Mrs. Walker died Sunday, March 26, 2006, at Decatur General Hospital. She was born Oct. 2, 1920, in Morgan County to Henry Silas Blevins and Mary Jessie Ruth Moore Blevins. She was a homemaker and a member of Antioch United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Almon M. Walker.
She is survived by two sons, Dorsey H. Walker of Dutton and John A. Walker of Somerville; a brother, Gene C. Blevins of Somerville; a sister, Oddlee Hamilton of Decatur; nine grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Tim Walker, Ken Walker, Dewayne Carson, Russell Frye, Danny Thornton, Gary Woods, Keith Blevins, Stanley Hamilton and Don Stark.
The family requests memorials be made to the Somerville United Methodist Church Building Fund, P. O. Box 434, Somerville, AL 35670.
