Tigers sweep Albertville at home then hit the road

Jordan Parker blasted a two-run homer in the bottom of the second inning to lead Hartselle's Tigers to a 4-1 decision over Albertville's Aggies in the first game of a doubleheader at Reuben Sims Field on March 2.
The win was Hartselle's fifth in seven games.
Senior righthander Keith McCaghren was the starting and winning pitcher. He went four innings, allowing one run on two hits while walking two and striking out four batters.
Justin Hargett led the Tigers in hitting with three singles.
Albertville's lone run came in the fourth inning on a triple and a ground ball hit to the shortstop.

In game two of the doubleheader, Parker again hit a two-run home run as the Tigers swept the visiting Aggies.
Will Rankin picked up the win, striking out four and walking one. Joe McClanahan, Josh Aycox and McCaghren each picked up one hit and one RBI.

On the road Friday morning, Hartselle's J.C. Bates pitched 4 1/3 innings to pick up the win. He allowed one earned run and struck out five. Ryder Brasher pitched the remaining innings to pick up his third save of the season.
McClanahan, McCaghren and Daxton Maze had two RBIs each.

Nathan Kimbrell and Dusty Schofield each scored runs but it was not enough as the Tigers fell on the road Friday night at Robertsdale. McCaghren left the game with the score tied at 4-all and Brasher was tagged for the loss.

Saturday, Will Rankin improved to 4-1 with a complete-game six-hit performance. He struck out five and walked one.
Wes Chenault paced the Tigers with three RBIs.
Fairhope 5
Hartselle 3
Luke Bole pitched three innings and allowed four runs, two of which were earned, as the Tigers fell to 8-4 on the season.
