A graveside service for Florence B. Dean, 99, of Hartselle was Thursday, Feb. 23, at 1 p.m. at Hartselle City Cemetery with Pastor Robert Dean officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Dean died Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2006, at her residence. She was born March 31, 1906, in Morgan County to James Walton Brown and Nanny Crews Brown. She was a member of Central Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Moltie Dean; one son, Joe Marcus Dean; and two daughters, Mary Ellen Dean Landers and Helen Jeanette Dean.
She is survived by four sons, James Dean and Robert L. Dean and wife Jean, all of Hartselle, Frankie Dean and wife Jo of Leonard Town, Md. and Brownie Dean and wife Ginger of Columbus, Ga.; a daughter, Margaret Dean Mayfield and husband Thermon of Hartselle; a daughter-in-law, Ella Dean of Hartselle; 18 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; and 50 great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were grandsons.
