Funeral for Virgil Freeman, 62, of Somerville was Saturday, Feb. 18, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. G. W. Atchley and Bro. Wayne Walls officiating.
Burial was in Pine Grove Cemetery near Lacey's Spring.
Mr. Freeman died Thursday, Feb. 16, 2006, at his residence. He was born April 2, 1943, in Morgan County to Claude Freeman and Pearlie Meeks Freeman. He was a member of Pine Grove Free Holiness Church.
He is survived by his wife Patricia Ann Walls Freeman of Somerville; a son, Joseph Virgil Freeman of Somerville; two daughters, Lisa Freeman Dempsey and husband Jesse and Ronda Freeman Champion and husband Roy, all of Somerville; five brothers, Hammond Freeman, Marvin Freeman and Charles Freeman, all of Valhermoso Springs, Harold Freeman of Somerville and Harce Freeman of Lacey's Spring; two sisters, Margie Filyaw of Cullman and Elizabeth Cooper of New Hope; three grandchildren, Brianna Champion, Niki Dempsey and Jamie Dempsey.
Pallbearers were co-workers Jeff Ferguson, Kenny Quillen, Donald Vassar, Ricky Stapler, Dewayne Marquz and Brian Marquez. Honorary pallbearers were Wayne Flannagan and Mike Poland.
