Funeral for Magnolia Fowler Murphy, 87, of Lacey's Spring was Saturday, Jan. 14, at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Barry Dunn officiating.
Burial was in Red Oak Cemetery.
Mrs. Murphy died Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2006, at her residence. She was born Jan. 14, 1918, in Morgan County to Edward M. Fowler and Eutence V. Turney Fowler. She was a member of Center Springs United Methodist Church and was active in the United Methodist Women. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lemuel E. Murphy; a son, Tommy Frank Day; and a brother, Howard Fowler.
She is survived by a son, Bobby E. Murphy of Falkville; a daughter, Elaine M. Biggs of Decatur; a sister, Olivia Fowler Noble of Valhermoso Springs; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Harold Fowler, Gerald Turney, Byron Turney, John Turney, Ronny Carl Murphy and Tommy Murphy.
