Funeral for Charles Howard Evans, 71, of Falkville was Friday, Jan. 6, at 11 a.m. at Falkville United Methodist Church with the Rev. Robert L. Archibald Jr. officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Musical was provided by Vondale Merritt.
Burial was in Evans Family Cemetery.
Mr. Evans died Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2006, at Hanceville Nursing Home after a long illness. He was born in Morgan County to Howard Evans and Lillie Hopper Evans on June 7, 1934. He resided at 579 Powell's Chapel Road in Falkville. He was employed as a carpenter on several local construction projects until his retirement in 1996. He was preceded in death by his wife, Iola Graham Evans; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Evans; and a brother, Harold Simmons.
He is survived by his daughters, Susan Evans Goggins and Melanie Evans Molzof and his sons-in-law, Wayne Goggins and Alberty Molzof, all of Falkville; a granddaughter, Hylton Elisabeth Molzof of Falkville; two sisters, Katherine Hogan of Falkville and Sarah Chandler of Cullman; and a brother, Ralph Evans of Falkville.
