Funeral for Robert Addison "Bob' Bailey, 84, of Union Grove was Saturday, Dec. 31, at 3 p.m. at Blue Springs Baptist Church in Somerville with the Rev. Gus King officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial was in Blue Springs Cemetery.
Mr. Bailey died Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2005, at SunBridge Care and Rehabilitation of Decatur. He was born Sept. 1, 1921, in Morgan County to James Roy Bailey and Annie Pearl Fowler Bailey. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Manning Bailey and Louie Bailey; and a sister, Ella Smith.
He is survived by a son, Bobby Van Bailey of Union Grove; a daughter, Anna Simpson of Plant City, Fla.; a brother, Glenn Bailey of Somerville; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
