Funeral for William Hicle Crow, 84, of Hartselle was Friday, Dec. 9, at 1 p.m. at Shoal Creek Baptist Church with Dr. Harold Fanning officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial was in the adjoining cemetery.
Mr. Crow died Wednesday, December 7, 2005, at his residence. He was born April 18, 1921, in Morgan County to the Rev. William Dewey Crow and Lillian Turner Crow. He was a lifetime member of Shoal Creek Baptist Church where he taught Sunday School. A veteran of World War II, he served in the European Theatre and received the Bronze Star, Good Conduct Ribbon, Campaign Ribbon and the Purple Heart. He was preceded in death by a sister, Edith Crow Hughes and two brothers, Eurel Crow and Auby Crow.
He is survived by his wife, Sarah Marie Reynolds Crow of Hartselle; a son, William Scott Crow of Priceville; two daughters, Mimi Crow Fox and husband Steve of Priceville and Debbie Crow Callahan and husband Jerry of Priceville; a brother, Donald Van Crow and wife Sue of Priceville; and three grandchildren, Nick Fox, Amanda Callahan and Eric Callahan. Pallbearers were Danny Welcher, Thomas Widner, Robert Couey, Danny Couey, Jay Lawrence, Jonathan Hampton and Keith Livingston.
