Funeral for Ruth Daphene Armstrong, 73, of Hartselle was Wednesday, Nov. 23, at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial was in McLemore Cemetery in Lawrence County.
Mrs. Armstrong died Monday, Nov. 21, 2005, at her residence. She was born Dec. 6, 1931, in Lawrence County to Leonard L. Alexander and Trannie L. Williams Alexander. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. She was a precious and beloved mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, James T. Armstrong, a son, Barry L. Armstrong and a brother, James T. Alexander.
She is survived by two sons, Ron T. Armstrong and wife April and Mark A. Armstrong, all of Moulton; two daughters, Kathi D. Shaffer and husband John of Hartselle and Sherri L. Armstrong of Birmingham; two sisters, Kathleen Thomas and Martha Gibson, both of Hartselle; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Christopher Bryan, Shannon Baver, Jaime Baver, Matthew Rice, Dusty Sims and Dale Armstrong.
