Danville drops Falkville in Friday night games

The Lady Hawks and Hawks were both victorious against Falkville Friday night. The girls won their game by the score of 46-36 and the boys took away a 51-44 victory.

The Lady Hawks improved their record to 2-0 with a 10-point road victory over the Lady Blue Devils.
Kristen Sparkman led the Lady Hawks with 11 points, while Magen Linderman and Lauren Simmons each scored seven points and Bethany Evans had six. Alaina Fitzgerald led Danville with 13 rebounds and Haley Hensley was the team leader with five assists.
For Falkville, Emily Dobbs scored 17 points and Whitney Eaves scored 15.
Danville boys 51, Falkville boys 44
Danville improved its record to 2-0 with a 51-44 win over Falkville on Nov. 18. The Hawks led just 19-18 at the half but used a 16-point third quarter to open up a 35-27 lead over the Blue Devils.
Chris Vest led Danville with 18 points and nine rebounds. Drew Osborne had 12 points, Tyree Murphy had seven points and Stratton Garner had six.
Murphy led the team with five assists.
For Falkville, Heath Alford and Adam Dye each scored 11 points. Nathan Riggins had 12.
The Blue Devils evened their record at 1-1.
