Funeral for Jerry Lee Thompson, 65, of Falkville was Saturday, Nov. 12, at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Randy Ashley, Thomas Hyche and Huey Shelton officiating.
Burial was in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Mr. Thompson died Thursday, Nov. 10, 2005, at his residence. He was born April 15, 1940, in Jefferson County to William H. Thompson and Zona Loree Roan Thompson. He was a Baptist and was retired from Wolverine Tube as a lab technician after 39 years of service and was preceded in death by three brothers, Hugh T. Thompson, Bobby J. Thompson and Jimmy R. Thompson and two sisters, Marjorie Carney and Bettye Lawrence.
He is survived by his wife, Etta Mae Puckett Thompson of Falkville; a son, Jay Randell Thompson of Hartselle; a daughter, Melanie Thompson Munger of Hartselle; three brothers, Harlon A. Thompson, Ronnie D. Thompson and Michael P. Thompson; two sisters, Brenda Norman and Becky Shelton; four grandchildren, Amanda Munger and Bree Munger, both of Starkville, Miss, and Jeston Thompson and Kaitlyn Thompson, both of Hartselle.
Pallbearers were Alan Thompson, David Shelton, Scott Carney, Jarrod Thompson, Tony Thompson and Wesley Lawrence.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
