R. Q. Knighten

Funeral for R. Q. Knighten, 82, of Dallas, Ga., will be Thursday (today), Oct. 6, at 11 a.m. at Hartselle Heritage Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Walter Blackmon officiating.
Burial will be in Hartselle City Cemetery.
Mr. Knighten died Monday, Oct. 3, 2005, at Tanner Medical Center in Villa Rica, Ga. Mr. Knighten was born June 4, 1923, in Morgan County to Jerry Knighten and Zoner Leeth Knighten. He was a member of Macland Baptist Church in Powder Springs, Ga. He served in the U. S. Army in World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia Knighten of Dallas, Ga.; two sons, David Knighten of Somerville and David Cronon of Zachary, La.; four daughters, Janet Byers of Dallas, Ga., Carol Cuip of Decatur, Carol Stevens of Holtville and Annette Pillow of Fancy Farm, Ky.; two sisters, Chesteen Lewis of Austin, Tex. and Beulah Mae Terry of Town Creek; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Pallbearers will be Jerry Knighten, Paul Ellis Knighten, Mitchell Pyron, Jared Pyron, James Cronon and Keith Livingston.
