Funeral for Louise Hampton Sparks, 84, of Hartselle was Wednesday, Sept. 14, at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Rickey Lowery officiating.
Burial was in Bald Knob Cemetery in Lawrence County.
Mrs. Sparks died Monday, Sept. 12, 2005, at Hartselle Medical Center. She was born July 16, 1921, in Lawrence County to John Lucia Dewey Hampton and Maude Thompson Hampton. She retired as a clerk from H&S Grocery. She was a member of Vestavia Hills Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband,Archie Sparks.
She is survived by three sons, Donald Sparks and wife Camella of Belle Mina, Douglas Sparks and wife Jackie and Michael Sparks and wife Janice, all of Hartselle; a daughter, Diane Brown and husband Carlton of Gulf Shores; six grandchildren, Beverly Swesey and husband Dean of Belle Mina, Tom Sparks and wife Lee Ann of Hartselle, Frank Brown and wife Kathryn of Gulf Shores, Dyroma Burroughs and husband Jamey of Foley, Hollie Trenary and husband Nick of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Ronnie Sparks of Hartselle; and seven great-grandchildren, Jennifer Houston and husband Butch, Jamie Wilbanks and wife Jessica, all of Belle Mina, Isabella Brown of Gulf Shores, Harrison Sparks and Austin Sparks, both of Hartselle and Christian Swesey of Belle Mina.
Pallbearers were grandsons.
