Funeral for Ethel Lee Jones, 100, of Danville was Friday, Sept. 2, at 11 a.m. at Hartselle Heritage Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Virgil Bohn and David Parker officiating.
Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery.
Mrs. Jones died Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2005, at Summerford Nursing Home.
She was born Aug. 9, 1905, in Franklin County to Abner William Bishop and Laura Pearson Bishop.
She was the oldest member of McKendree Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert M. Jones Sr.; a son, Billie Jones; a grandson, William Andrew Perkins; brothers, Johnny Bishop, Lonnie Bishop and Grady Bishop; sisters, Elsie Postell, Lula Wiggins, Ruby Clifton and Ruth Barnett.
She is survived by a son, A. M. (Mack) Jones Jr. and wife Mary of Vinemont; two daughters, Annie Laura Mosley of Birmingham and Rev. Kathryne Perkins and husband Ace of Danville; a sister, Icy Dell Cooper of Decatur; eight grandchildren, Johnny Perkins, Anna Summerford, Cynthia Dobbs, JoAnne Nichols, Sarah Terry, Robert Hill, Briggitte Lackey and Kevin Atchley; and nine great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Johnny Perkins, Robbie Hill, Jason Summerford, Tim Terry, Doug Wigginton and Terrell Way.
