Holmes, Waters exchange vows
Kerri Elizabeth Holmes of Falkville and Michael Jeremy Waters of Hazel Green were wed Saturday, June 2, 2005, at 2 p.m. at Hazel Green United Methodist Church with Bro. Jim Stringfellow officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gerry Holmes of Falkville.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Steve Waters of Hazel Green.
The church was decorated with multi-hued pink and white flowers.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a white, strapless A-line gown by Jasmine featuring silver embroidery and hand sewn Swarovski crystals. Her full, fingertip length veil was edged in Swarovski crystals. She carried a bouquet of white roses.
Jamie Waters of Hazel Green was maid of honor.
Bridal attendants were Amy Abernathy and Jessica Rose, both of Huntsville, Alex Holmes, Christina Holmes and Laura Iovino, all of Hartselle, and Ashley Hooks of Tallassee. They wore floor length A-line gowns of pink satin with spaghetti straps and white satin edging.
Katie Thomas of Hazel Green was flower girl. Trey Lambert of Decatur was ring bearer.
The groom's father was best man.
Groomsmen were Corey Hardin, Seth Medlin and Kevin Tyree, all of Huntsville, Jamey Carroll, Brad DeWeese and Adam Thomas, all of Hazel Green.
Ushers were Jeff Holmes of Killen, Mike Holmes of Hartselle, and Rodney Holmes of Birmingham.
Music was provided by Barry Sublet of Decatur.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the fellowship hall.
The bride's table featured a four-tiered white square cake decorated with elaborate white icing and pink roses, flanked by a silver candelabra and flowers.
The groom's outdoor-themed table featured a three-tiered chocolate cake.
Assisting with the reception were Joy Brown, Andrea Brown and Dana Schrimsher.
Theresa Lambert of Decatur attended the bride's book.
The couple honeymooned in Cancun, Mexico. They reside in Hazel Green.
A rehearsal party hosted by the groom's parents was held June 3 at the church.

Shelly Sheree Lynn of Tuscaloosa and U.S. Naval Airman Paul Wesley Scott Workman of Hartselle, formerly of Tuscaloosa, were wed Aug. 7, 2005, at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens with Rev. Danny F. Lynn, father of the bride, officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Darlene Sheree Adams of Birmingham and Danny F. and Cille St. John Lynn of Tuscaloosa. The groom is the son of Bradley S. and Phyllis LeMay Workman of Hartselle.
The bride, given in marriage by her parents, wore a satin A-line gown featuring spaghetti straps and a sequined bodice and train. She wore a hip length veil and carried a bouquet of white roses.
Tiffany Phillips of Baton Rouge, La., cousin of the bride, was maid of honor.
Bridal attendants were Bethany Workman of Hartselle, sister of the groom, and Laura Witter of Birmingham.
Justin Falls of Tuscaloosa was best man.
Groomsmen were Justin Lynn of Birmingham, brother of the bride, and Joe Quesada of Tuscaloosa.
Music was provided by Teachie Luna of Carrollton, Ga., aunt of the bride.
A reception was held at the home of the bride's mother. Betty Martin of Baton Rouge, La., assisted.
