A graveside service for Guy Henry Eddins Jr., 89, of Roanoke, Va., was Saturday, June 18, at 11 a.m. at Sherwood Memorial Park in Salem, Va., with the Rev. Frank Feather officiating and Oakey's Roanoke Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Eddins died Tuesday, June 14, 2005. He retired as a Chief Clerk for N &W Railway after 42 years of service and owned a radio and television shop for 20 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline Bruce Eddins and a daughter, Shelia Ann Altice Overstreet.
He is survived by his daughter, Eva Eddins Eddy and husband Arnold of Hartselle; seven grandchildren, Susan Eddy Kinney and husband Dan, David Arnold Eddy and wife Tammy, Stephanie Eddy Burroughs and husband Adam, Steven Keith Eddy and wife Glynda, Jeffrey Altice, Tony Altice and Todd Altice; and 15 great-grandchildren.
