Funeral for Hugh Travis Thompson, 75, of Hartselle was Thursday, June 2, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Thomas Hyche officiating.
Burial was in Bethel Cemetery.
Mr. Thompson died Tuesday, May 31, 2005, at Hartselle Medical Center. He was born June 16, 1929 in Morgan County to William Huey Thompson and Zona Loree Roan Thompson. He was retired as Traffic Manager/Supervisor at Wolverine Tube. He served in the United States Air Force for four years. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Bobby Joe Thompson and Jimmy Roan Thompson; and two sisters, Bettye Jean Lawrence and Marjorie Patricia Carney.
He is survived by his wife, Inez Hanson Thompson of Hartselle; four brothers, Jerry Lee Thompson of Falkville, Harlan Arthur Thompson and Michael Phillip Thompson, both of Hartselle and Ronnie Dale Thompson of Moulton; and two sisters, Rebecca Ann Shelton and Brenda Joyce Norman, both of Falkville.
Pallbearers were Kenneth Brewer, Wesley Lawrence, Jr., Tony Thompson, Alan Thompson, Jay Thompson, Scott Carney and David Shelton.
Honorary pallbearers were Dorris Dobbs, Jim Glasgow, Paul Guire and Harold Rowe.
