Funeral for Johnny Nickens, 54, of Decatur was Sunday, May 15, at 1:30 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Harold Brown officiating.
Burial was in Burningtree Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Nickens died Friday, May 13, 2005, at Decatur General Hospital. He was born March 10, 1951, in Morgan County to Harry Nickens and Lila G. Roberson Nickens. He was a pipefitter.
He is survived by his wife, Twilah Nickens of Decatur; one son, John Terry Nickens of Decatur; one daughter, Misty West Posey of Decatur; his mother, Lila G. Nickens of Hartselle; one brother, Britt Nickens of Hartselle; two sisters, Vennessia Nickens Orr and husband David, and Lynn Nickens Thompson and husband Eddie, all of Hartselle; and two grandchildren, Taylor Posey and Hannah Claire Posey.
Pallbearers were John David Orr, David Orr, Travis Smith, Eddie Thompson, Heath Legg and Chase Nickens.
