Oliver, Nix exchange vows
Deidre Lee Oliver and Matthew Brandon Nix were wed Saturday, April 2, 2005, at First United Methodist Church in Florence with the Rev. Bob Murray officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Ernie and Marlene Oliver of Florence. The groom is the son of Debbie and Don Hall of Hartselle and Jim and Beverly Nix of Rogersville.
The bride wore a white gown designed by Maggie Sottero fashioned of Italian satin. The strapless bodice featured an asymmetrical gathering and medallions of embroidery, enhanced by pearls, sequins and Swarovski crystals, detailed the front of the gown. The back of the gown was laced with a fabric tie and extended into a sweep train.
Daphne Oliver was maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Rachel Sills, Jessica Snapp and Becky Holt. Bridal attendants wore black satin gowns with complimentary asymmetrical gathering at the waistline, strapless bodices, and floor length A-line skirts.
Ryan Nix was best man.
Groomsmen were Jon Wright, Zach Gooch and Joey Udas.
Ushers were Justin Nix, Mark Gajewski, Ben Hall and Jerrod Hyde.
Music was provided by pianist Kelly Pearl Udas.
Wedding director was Genny Hawkins.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the fellowship hall.
The couple resides in Nashville.
Light, Self to wed June 18
Terry and Lisa Light of Falkville and Tammy Nelson of Hartselle announce the engagement of their daughter, Ryan LeeAnn Light, to Brian Thomas Self, son of Thomas and Betsy Self of Hartselle.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Hartselle High School and attends Alabama A&M University. She is employed with The Home Depot in Huntsville. She is the granddaughter of Sue Kennedy and Harold and Glenda Ferguson, all of Hartselle.
The groom-elect is a graduate of Hartselle High School and attends Wallace State College. He is employed with Reed Contracting Services. He is the grandson of Johnny Self of Hartselle and Harold and Marjorie Corning of Huntsville.
The wedding will be held June 18 at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Hartselle.
Ledlow, Mason to wed May 14
Donald and Reta Ledlow of Hartselle announce the engagement of their daughter, Tiffany Dawn Ledlow, to William Jeffrey Mason, son of Dale and Sandra Mason of Falkville.
The bride-elect is a 1998 graduate of Hartselle High School, a 2002 graduate of Auburn University with a bachelor's degree in accounting, and a 2003 graduate of Auburn University with a master's of accountancy. She is employed with the State of Alabama Department of Examiners of Public Accountants as an accountant's examiner. She is the granddaughter of the late Dewey and Carrie Ledlow and the late W.J. and Lucille McSpadden.
The groom-elect is a 1997 graduate of Falkville High School and a graduate of Auburn University with a bachelor's degree in poultry science. He is employed with Goldkist, Inc. of Guntersville as a supervisor. He is the grandson of the late Monroe and Imogean Mason and the late Earl and Viola McCaig.
The wedding will be held May 14 at 4 p.m. at Falkville First Baptist Church.
