Public meeting set on RR bridge
A proposed new two-lane bridge over the CSX Railroad and connecting roadway between North Sparkman and Georgia streets will be the subject of a public meeting from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, April 21, at City Hall.
The meeting was scheduled by the Alabama Department of Transportation to give citizens the opportunity to share comments about the $1.5 million project. Written comments will be received until 10 days after the meeting. Drawings and maps of the project area will be available for viewing and ALDOT representatives will be present to answer questions. A 30 percent review of the project's design and engineering has met with state approval.
