High school baseball report

Priceville 10, Tanner 5
The Bulldogs won the area game behind the hitting of Matt Croft, Justin Crow and Hunter Teague who each drove in two runs. Dustin Hamilton added a RBI as well.
Croft had two hits, stole two bases and scored twice, while Crow had two hits and Teague had one hit and one steal.
Priceville 14, Tanner 2
Hamilton improved to 5-1 by throwing a four-hitter as the Bulldogs swept the 2A, Area 14 season series from the Rattlers. Hamilton struck out eight.
Croft, Hughes and Dale Taylor had two hits each. Croft delivered a two-run homer, while Hughes had a double and scored twice. Taylor scored one run, while Cody Allen had a double and scored twice. Crow and Eric Allen had one hit each.
Priceville 11, Arab 9
Lance Hughes started and Will Stevens finished up on the mound as the Bulldogs whipped the 5A Knights. Hamilton smashed a gram slam. Teague and Crow each had two hits and scored two runs.
Arab 12, Brewer 0
Matt Anderson took the loss, throwing five and two-thirds innings and striking out five. He allowed only five earned runs. At the plate, Chris Holeman and Cody Maples had singles, while Jameson Pugh had a double.
Huntsville 13, Brewer 3
Randall McCutcheon connected for a three-run homer in the top of the second innings to account for all the Patriots runs. Eric Parker and Maples had singled prior to McCutcheon's blast.
Falkville 13, Fairview 3
Thomas Holt pitched four innings and struck out five batters to lead Falkville's Blue Devils to a 13-3 win over the Fairview Aggies. Brad Vest led the Blue Devils at the plate with three hits, a double and two singles. Other hitters were Cody Simpson with a single and a double, Thomas Holt with a double and two singles, Jeff Grandstaff with two singles, and Joseph Lacey, Zack Moore and Bobby Holladay each with a single.
Simpson scored four runs, while Holt scored three and Vest, Todd Russell and Granstaff scored one each. Vest drove in two runs, while Lacey had three and Levi West two. Holladay, Kevin Russell and Holt drove in one each.
Falkville 12, Cleveland 2
Brad Vest improved to 5-2 by throwing a seven-hitter and fanning seven over five innings. The Blue Devils upped their 2A, Area 12 record to 3-0.
At the plate, Vest had a two-run homer among two hits and scored three times. Simpson had one hit and scored twice, while Todd Russell had one hit and two RBIs. Kevin Boroughs had one hit, one run and drove in one, while Grandstaff scored one run after drawing a walk. Holt had one hit, one RBI and scored once, while Frankie Bannister had one hit and a RBI. Moore had a hit in his only at bat and scored one run.
Danville 5, Vinemont 4
The Hawks won their first area game of the season over the Eagles on Monday night.Thomas Hopkins was three-for-three at the plate, including a home run, stole one base, scored two runs and drove in three. Brian Smith had two hits and scored twice. Danville is now 10-11.
High school softball report
Brewer 5, Lee 4
Mandy Martin had two hits and scored twice, while Megan Murphy had two hits, one run and drove Martin home with the winning run.
Tosh Mays fired a four-hitter for the complete game win on the mound. Brewer evened its record at 11-11.
Danville 5, Brewer 3
Casey Sparkman and Katie James drove in two runs each as the Lady Hawks whipped the Lady Pats. Sparkman had two hits, including a double, while James had three hits, including a double and threw a complete game on the mound.
Haley Hensley had two singles, while Kristy Roberts, Emily Templeton and Jessica Nichols each singled.
Danville 3, JB Pennington 2
The Lady Hawks improved to 2-0 in 3A, Area 12 play with a win over No. 8-ranked Lady Tigers.
Katie James struck out nine and picked up the win with a complete game.
Roberts had two hits and a stolen base, while Charleston Wilson had one hit and a steal. James drove in a run with a single, while Mallory Alred had two hits and drove in two runs to spark the offense. Hensley had one hit.
Danville 11, Hanceville 1
Evans picked up the win a five-inning performance. Roberts had two hits and a RBI, while Wilson had three hits and three RBIs.
Casey Sparkman had a hit, James had two hits and Kristen Sparkman had two singles.
Evans had a single, while Templeton had two hits and two RBIs. Alred had a single and Nichols had a RBI double. Danville is now 19-8 overall.
Hanceville 15, Falkville 2
The Lady Blue Devil pitchers allowed only five hits, but walked 12 batters and hit five more to supply Hanceville with plenty of base runners.
At the plate, Whitney Eaves tripled and came home on Katrina Wildmon's single. Katie Ward had a double and scored for Falkville.
Priceville 3, Brewer 1
Casey Chandler threw a three-hitter and stuck out two as she upped her record to 10-5.
At the plate, Sumer Boyd had a two-run single and Caitlin Williams walked and scored twice.
Ashlen Houser, Jessica Hopper, Jessica Kennedy and Tiffany Bracken had one hit each.
Priceville 16, West Point 1
Chandler allowed only two hits in four innings and struck out four as she improved to 11-5.
Sara Parker, Hopper and Williams had two hits each. Parker and Kennedy had two RBIs each.
Parker scored three runs, Hopper four and Williams two. Houser walked three times and scored twice, while Emily Childers scored two runs.
Stephanie Hardiman and Boyd scored one run each, while Williams Hopper, Hardiman and Boyd each had one RBI. Childers and Hopper had triples, while Williams collected a double.
In addition, the Lady Bulldogs posted a 5-1 record and won the Westminster tournament last Saturday. Priceville is now 15-10 overall.
Danville JV 6, Brewer JV 3
Brittany Atkins struck out four for Danville as the winning pitcher.
Hailey Nichols had two hits and two RBIs, while Whitney Haggamaker had two hits, including a triple.
Mallory George had a RBI double, while Lauren Simmons, Erin Gillott, Randi McCleskey and Atkins had one hit each.
Danville JV 4, JB Pennington JV 2
George was the winning pitcher as she struck out three. Haggamaker had a triple, while Simmons and Gillott had doubles and Nichols had a single.
Danville JV 3, Hanceville JV 0
The Lady Hawk JV improved to 16-0 as George struck out eight to lead the way.
Haley Nichols had a double, Atkins two hits and Haggamaker had one hit.
