Seventh grade Lady Tigers improve to 11-2

The seventh grade Hartselle Lady Tigers won six-of-seven games prior to the holiday break from school to improve to 11-2 on the season.
Athens 31,
Hartselle 29
Athens used a 15-9 run in the final six minutes to hand Hartselle its second loss of the season.
Athens made two free throws with one-second remaining and the Lady Tigers couldn't get off a final shot.
Taylor White had seven points, five rebounds and two steals for Hartselle, while Katie Young had six points, five rebounds and one steal.
Alex Holmes added six points, four rebounds and a steal.
Hartselle 40,
Brookhaven 17
The Lady Tigers went on a 17-0 run to begin the game and led 29-2 at the half as they won for the sixth time.
Holmes had 12 points and three assists, while White had 11 points and two rebounds.
Ebone Mason had seven points and three rebounds, while Raley Sittason had three points and two steals and Sarah Long had three points and one rebound.
Katie Young grabbed six boards for the Lady Tigers.
Hartselle 38,
West Point 7
Callie Miller had 11 points, three steals and one rebound to lead the winners.
Mason, White and Long had five points each, while Michelle Smith had four points.
Kelsey Starr and Chelsea Maze had two points each.
White had four rebounds and two steals, while Mason had three boards and Smith had two more rebounds.
Long added four steals.
Hartselle 34,
Cedar Ridge 17
The Lady Tigers roared to a 13-2 lead after one period and never looked back as they won to improve to 8-2.
Miller led balanced scoring with seven points, followed by Young with five, Stacey Stewart and Smith with four, White and Sittason with three each and Mason, Maze and Danielle Carden had two points a piece.
Miller had two steals, while Stewart had five rebounds and three steals, while Carden and Smith had five boards each.
Sittason had three boards, while White, Young and Mason had two rebounds each. Long had one rebound.
Hartselle 23,
Monrovia 13
Hartselle lead by two at halftime but went on a nine-to-three run in the third period to put the game away.
White had 15 points, while Stewart had five points and four rebounds, in addition to two steals.
Smith had a game-high 11 rebounds.
Hartselle 38,
Florence 20
The Lady Tigers improved to 10-2 with the win. Hartselle used a 16-2 run in the third period to put the game away.
Sittason had 12 points and one rebound, while White had eight points and two boards.
Mason had six points and six rebounds, while Miller had four points and two boards.
Smith added five more points for the winners.
Hartselle 27,
Liberty 13
Hartselle used a 16-3 run in the second period to break open a tie game and cruised to win number 11.Mason and Young had seven points each, while White had six.
Young grabbed seven boards, followed by Sittason and Smith with four each, while Mason and White had three a piece.
