Funeral for Thomas Conard Self, 82, of Eva was Sunday, Dec. 5, at 3:30 p.m. at Williams-McCracken Funeral Home with Odom Hawkins and Don Brannon officiating.
Burial was in Etha Cemetery in Cullman County.
Mr. Self died Friday, Dec. 3, 2004, at Cullman Regional Medical Center. He was born Sept. 26, 1922, to Henry Grady and Eva Beall Self. He was a member of Macedonia Church of Christ, a retired major in the U.S. Air Force Reserves, a graduate of Auburn University a pilot in the Army Air Corps, a private pilot and an amateur radio operator. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Larimore Self.
He is survived by his wife, Wylodene Strickland Self of Eva; two sons, Thomas A. Self and wife Cathy of Arab and Edwin C. Self and wife Donna of Columbia, Tenn.; one daughter, Jana D. Gourley and husband Tim of Eva; one sister, Fay Camp of Hartselle; and seven grandchildren, Matthew Self, Landon Self, James Self, Joseph Self, Philip Gourley, Andrew Gourley and Hannah Gourley.
