DeVaney, Gore exchange vows
Leada Louise DeVaney and Gregory C. Gore were married Sept. 18, 2004 at 7 p.m. at the Heritage Club in Huntsville.
Timothy Parker, friend of the bride, conducted the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Huey L. DeVaney of Argo and Mrs. Constance McFall of Trussville. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Louise Dennis of Trussville and the late William Floyd Curry of Searcy, Ark. and the late Mr. and Mrs. Clarence A. DeVaney of Birmingham.
The groom is the son of Mrs. Mary Gore of Pickens, Miss. and the late William R. Gore. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Cain of Camden, Miss. and the late Mr. and Mrs. Albert Gore of Maben, Miss.
The bride wore an off-the-shoulder dress of candlelight satin and carried a hand-tied bouquet of Black Magic calla lilies, Midnight roses and Baccarra lilies. For her something borrowed, she wore pearl earrings from her sister-in-law, Ieleen DeVaney, and, for something old, she wore her baby barrette. She also wore a pearl strand and gold bracelet, both gifts from the groom. In her hair, she wore a tiara of Swarovski crystals and pearls.
The bride's sister, Anna McFall of Auburn, was maid of honor. She wore a magenta dress overlaid with black netlace and carried a hand-tied bouquet that matched the bride's.
The groom's son, Derek Gore of Madison, was best man.
Music at the ceremony was provided by the flute duo, Trillium of Madison.
A sit-down dinner followed the wedding. Guest enjoyed London broil, pecan-encrusted chicken and stuffed turkey breast.
The bride's cake was a three-tier white cake with rolled fondant icing and fondant roses and stephanotis, hand-made by the bride's grandmother, Mrs. Louise Dennis.
The groom's table featured a selection of desserts, including chocolate decadence and key lime pie.
The couple honeymooned in Cancun, Mexico.

Thompson, Blaylock to wed
Tony and JoAnne Thompson of Falkville announce the engagement of their daughter, Susan Amy Thompson, to Michael Allan Blaylock, son of Lane Hampton of Hartselle and Robert "Butch" Blaylock of Decatur.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Way Home Christian School and is currently attending Calhoun Community College. She is employed by Compass Bank and is a member of Central Baptist Church.
She is the granddaughter of Gene and Margie Wilson and Harlan and Rhonda Thompson, all of Falkville, and the late Margaret Thompson.
The groom-elect is a graduate of Hartselle High School and The University of Alabama and is currently attending The University of Alabama EMBA program. He is employed by Adtran, Inc. and is a member of Central Baptist Church.
He is the grandson of the late Amanda Hathorn Kolb and the late Roy H. Kolb Jr.
The wedding will be held Dec. 18 at West Hartselle Baptist Church.
