Funeral for Joe R. Bogue, 65, of Texas, was Tuesday, Sept. 28, at 2 p.m. at West End Baptist Church in Industry, Texas.
Burial was at Pilgrim Rest Cemetery in Industry.
Mr. Bogue died Saturday, Sept. 25, 2004, in Brenham, Tex. He was born in Falkville to Reginald Bogue and Alene Long Bogue. He was a graduate of Falkville High School, the University of Montevallo and Hermann School of Physical Therapy in Houston Tex. After teaching two years in Pensacola, Fla., Mr. Bogue and his wife, Jan, moved to Houston, where he was director of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation at Bellaire General Hospital for 33 years. Upon retiring to the Bleiblerville, Tex., community, he and his wife became members of the West End Baptist Church .
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Jan; one son, Joe Bogue, Jr. of Austin, Tex.; his father, Reginald Bogue of Bellville, Tex.; two sisters, Julia Watters and husband Sam of Tucson, Ariz. and Joyce Cox of Hueytown,; brother-in-law, Billy Jones and wife Susan of Destin, Fla.; nephews Trei Watters and wife Cheryl of Phoenix, Ariz., Thomas Cox of Atlanta, Ga., Chris Jones of Tampa, Fla. and Matthew Jones and wife Franny of Tuscaloosa; nieces Jennifer Goodman and husband Bentley of Houston, Tex.; Meredith Cox of Hueytown and Amy Long and husband Mike of Alexandria, VA; an uncle, James Bogue and wife Doris of Decatur; an aunt, Joann McCollough and husband Bob of Silver Springs., MD.; two great nieces; and two great nephews.
