Funeral for James Myrl Eubanks, 72, of Falkville was Tuesday, Oct. 5, at 2 p.m. at Bethlehem West Missionary Baptist Church with the Revs. Tim Aris and Levell Aris officiating and Hartselle Heritage Funeral Home directing.
Burial was in Bethlehem West Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Eubanks died Saturday, Oct. 2, 2004, at his residence. He was born Oct. 2, 1932, in Cullman to Hubbard Thurman Eubanks and Libby West Eubanks. He was a member of Bethlehem West Missionary Baptist Church. He served in the United States Army's 5th Cavalry and saw active duty in the Korean War. Through the opportunity afforded him by the GI Bill, Mr. Eubanks became a tool and die machinist. He was the former owner and operator of Just Rite Machine, now owned by his son, Brian Eubanks. Mr. Eubanks had a love of music and would often gather with family and friends playing his treasured guitar. He was a member of the 5th U.S. Cavalry Association, KWVA, the 2214 VFW in Cullman, and 7th Cavalry Korean War Veteran Association. He was preceded in death by one brother, Thurman Gene Eubanks.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Sue Eubanks of Falkville; two sons, Robert Myrl Eubanks and wife Kathy of Hartselle and Brian Keith Eubanks and wife Sue of Falkville; two daughters, Brenda Sue Smith and husband William of Warrior and Melody Jean McNutt of Hartselle; one brother, Larry Wilson and wife Jan of Hesperia, Calif.; one sister, Laura Rosenblum and husband Curtis of Huntsville; 15 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Phillip Christopher Gegnaud, Ezekiel James Eubanks, Brandon Kelly Eubanks, Benjamin Kristopher Eubanks, Bradley Kenneth Eubanks, Barrett Kirby Eubanks and Kristian Sims.
