Funeral for Rolland Edward French, 66, of Cullman was Monday, Sept. 27, at Center Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerry Hale and Matt Bonnette officiating and Arab-Heritage Funeral Home directing.
Burial was in Eva cemetery.
Mr. French died Friday, Sept. 24, 2004, at Cullman Regional Medical Center. He was born December 10, 1937, in Morgan County to Joseph Loy French and Pauline Clifton French. He was owner of WRJL Southern Gospel radio station 99.9 FM in Eva. He was a charter member of the Lions Club of Eva and served in the United States Army. Mr. French was a member of Center Grove Baptist Church in the Gold Ridge Community where he taught Sunday School and was a past music director at the church.
He is survived by his wife Sheila Jo French of Cullman; two sons, Randall Edward French and wife Julia and Gregory Wayne French and wife Tammy, all of Cullman; two daughters, Deborah Suzanne Anderson of Charleston, S.C. and Amy Karol Holland and husband Stoney of Eva; two sisters, Glenda Jackson of Hokes Bluff and Denise Braswell of Cookesville, Tenn; and seven grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Center Grove Baptist Church Building Fund or Alabama Baptist Childrens Home.
