Funeral for Russell Henry Shadden, 85, of Hartselle was Friday, Aug. 27, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Steve Dutton officiating.
Burial was in Andrews Chapel Cemetery.
Mr. Shadden died Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2004, at Decatur General Hospital. He was born Sept. 22, 1918, in Tennessee to Arthur Shadden and Mary Cobble Shadden. He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Shadden; and a son, Freddie Shadden.
He is survived by three sons, Jimmy Shadden of Hartselle, and Richard Shadden and Steve Shadden, both of Danville; five daughters, Barbara Crow of Moulton, Mary Blair of Hartselle, Gracie Nichelson of Danville, Sheila Koch of Cullman and Tracie Tidwell of Double Springs; one brother, J.T. Shadden of Somerville; 22 grandchildren; and 42 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were his grandsons.
