Rock Solid takes HHS Invitational

Rock Solid won the 12-and-under division of the Hartselle High School Invitational softball tournament held at Margie and Grady Long Park July 30-31.
The team, based in Hartselle, compiled a 5-0 record while rolling to the title.
Rock Solid 5, Mayhem 1
Audrey McClanahan led the way for Rock Solid by driving in three runs and picking up the win on the mound. McClanahan smashed a triple and a homer at the plate, while throwing two no-hit scoreless innings on the mound.
Meg Warren had two hits and scored twice for the winners while Anna Hall and Kelsey Starr scored one run each.
Starr also collected a triple. Madison Carroll and Shelby Huff also collected hits.
Michel Fields threw two innings of no-hit relief while striking out three.
Rock Solid 9, Ardmore Elite 0
Michel Fields threw two innings of two-hit ball and drove in two runs for the winners.
Fields had a double and scored once. Meg Warren and Audrey McClanahan scored two runs each. Anna Hall, Hayden Watts, Raley Sittason and Shelby
Hoff scored one run a piece. Warren and Watts had two hits each.
Rock Solid 5, Sharks 0
Audrey McClanahan fired a one-hitter and struck out three to earn the win. She added a RBI double and scored two runs while Raley Sittason had another RBI.
Anna Hall, Michel Fields and Sara Lang scored one run each.
Rock Solid 11, Ardmore Elite 3
Audrey McClanahan and Michel Fields combined on a no-hitter. Each pitcher threw two innings and struck out two. Fields allowed three runs on three walks.
Raley Sittason was the hitting star, as she had two triples and drove in three runs while scoring once.
Anna Hall, Kelsey Starr and Meg Warren scored two runs each. Hayden Watts, McClanahan, Starr and Warren drove in one run each. Warren had two hits.
Sara Lang, Madison Carroll, McClanahan and Watts scored once each.
Rock Solid 11, Mayhem 1
Audrey McClanahan threw four innings of one-run ball to post the win in the championship game.
Meg Warren led the way at the plate with three hits, three RBIs and scoring three runs.
Hayden Watts and Shelby Hoff had two RBIs each. Anna Hall scored three runs on three hits while Kelsey Starr had two runs on two hits.
Sara Lang, Raley Sittason and McClanahan had one RBI each. Michel Fields, Sittason, Watts and McClanahan scored one run each.
