Burleson Preservation Committee member and local artist Mitch Howell-Coon has developed a logo for the Hartselle Fine Arts Center featuring all the fine arts the community will someday be able to enjoy at the center, including art, music, dance and theatre.
The committee will hold a fundraiser Tuesday, Aug. 31, 4-8 p.m. at Red House Grill where committee members will wait tables for tips to benefit the formation of the Hartselle Fine Arts Center at the Historic Burleson School.
In other business, a new roof was recently added to the historic Burleson building through continuing improvement efforts of the committee, supported primarily by the annual Burleson Dinner and Silent Auction.
The Burleson Preservation Committee will meet Thursday, Aug. 5 at The Coffee Cup at noon to discuss plans, grant proposals, fundraisers and general business concerning the formation of the Hartselle Fine Arts Center.
All interested members of the community are invited and encouraged to attend. For more information on the Burleson Preservation Committee, call 773-9390.
