Funeral for Alice Gordie Henson, 82, of Falkville, was Tuesday, June 29, at 11 a.m. at Powell's Chapel Church with the Revs. Bill Partridge and Nathan Green officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial was in Powell's Chapel Cemetery.
Mrs. Henson died Sunday, June 27, 2004, at Hartselle Medical Center. She was born Oct. 14, 1921, in Greene County to Will Cole and Sarah Wildman Cole. She was a member of Powell's Chapel Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilson "Doodle" Henson; one son, Woodrow Wilson "Woody" Henson; and three brothers, "Pete" Cole, "Junior" Cole and Joe Cole.
She is survived by three sons, Rodger Dale Henson of Meridian, Miss., Bobby Lee Henson of New Orleans and Terry Wilson Henson of Falkville; one daughter, Judy Diane Owen of Cullman; three brothers, "Bud" Cole, Lee Cole and John Cole, all of Hartselle; four sisters, Pauline Johnson of Falkville, Esther Sanders of Decatur and Kathleen Wood and Ruby Hightower, both of Hartselle; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
