Kuykendall, Tanksley exchange vow
Emily Joy Kuykendall of Athens and Jarod Lane Tanksley of Hartselle were married May 15, 2004 at 4 p.m. at the Huntsville Museum of Art with Robert Hendrix officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Wayne and Allison Kuykendall of Athens.
The groom is the son of Tim and Reatha Tanksley of Hartselle.
The bride was given in marriage by her father.
Katie Kuykendall of Athens, sister of the bride, was maid of honor.
The bride's attendants were Amy Flatt, Julie Coblentz, Jenny Lind Johnstone, April Davis, Jenny Jarrett, Marisa Mangrum and Erin Petty.
Taylor Flatt and Kendall Swanson were the flower girls. Tyler Flatt was the ring bearer.
The groom's father was best man.
Groomsmen were Stuart Tanksley, Brent Johnson, Jeremy Nails, Jake Miles and Scott Flatt.
Ushers were Brian Jarrett, Will Harbin and Lane Davis.
Music was provided by Mary Peck, Frank Garcia, Gonca Huff, Rene/ Collins-Williams, Mallory Bauer and Makayla Melvin.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the museum.
Wedding directors were Debbi Binkley and Terry Banta.
Brandy Simmons, Ellen Hays, Amy Vining, Nanci Spears, Marian Cook, Ella Melvin and Carol Jane White assisted with the reception.
The couple honeymooned in St. Lucia. They will reside in Madison.
A rehearsal dinner, hosted by the groom's parents, was held at Pauli's Chophouse in Huntsville.

Vinzant, Schutt to wed June 26
Bobbie Johnson and Jackie Vinzant, both of Hartselle, announce the engagement of their daughter, Crystal Dawn Vinzant, to Joseph Lee Schutt, son of Gary and Valerie Schutt of Hartselle.
The bride-elect is a 2001 graduate of Hartselle High School and a 2004 graduate of Wallace State Community College and plans to attend the University of West Alabama next spring. She is the granddaughter of Mary Vinzant of Hartselle and the late Cornis Vinzant, the late Imogene Morgan and the late Junior Smith.
The groom-elect is a 2000 graduate of Hartselle High School and plans to attend the University of West Alabama next spring.
He is a member of the Army Reserves. He is the grandson of Richard and Gloria Schutt and Lester Fultz, all of Panama City, Fla., and the late Shirley Fultz.
The wedding will be held June 26 at 1 p.m. at New Center Baptist Church.
Harris, Harvel to wed June 26
Wayne and Joy Stinson of Hartselle and Joe and Kathy Harris of Falkville announce the engagement of the daughter, Jennifer Brooke Harris, to Joshua Wayne Harvel, son of Garry and Judy Harvel of Hartselle.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Falkville High School. She is the granddaughter of Betty McNutt and Ennis and Betty Waits, all of Hartselle, and Johnny and Wanda Harris of Falkville.
The groom-elect is a graduate of Danville High School. He is the grandson of Hershel and Evelyn Harvel and LD and Nan Beavers, all of Hartselle.
The wedding will be held June 26 at 5 p.m. at Son Rise Baptist Church.
Wood, Mote to wed July 10
Jimmy and Sandra Wood of Birmingham announce the engagement of their daughter, Farrah Leigh Wood, to Jodie Thomas Mote, son of Gary and Sylvia Mote of Kennesaw, Ga.
The bride-elect is a 1998 graduate of Shades Valley High School and a 2002 graduate of Auburn University with a bachelor's degree in public relations.
She is employed by Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Greater Birmingham. She is a member of Zeta Tau Alpha Social Sorority and the Auburn University Alumni Association. She is the granddaughter of John and Bernice Kidd of Harpersville.
The groom-elect is a 1998 graduate of Douglas County High School, a 2002 graduate of Auburn University with a bachelor's degree in accounting, and a 2003 graduate of Auburn University with a master's degree in accounting. He is employed by UAB Educational Foundation in Birmingham. He is a member of the Auburn University Alumni Association. He is the grandson of Tom and Willodean Rice of Hartselle and Royal and Elaine Mote of Moulton.
The wedding will be held July 10 at North Shelby Baptist Church in Birmingham.
