Student thanks community
Editor:
My name is Sarah Brenton Crow and I am in Mrs. Amy Holt's class at F.E. Burleson School. My school is trying to raise money for a new playground. I would like to thank everyone who has given money to help us. We had a great time at David's Catfish Cabin. The food was great! I would like to thank everyone at my school for working hard. Could you please put this in the paper so everyone will know what a great school I have.

School benefit a rousing success
Editor,
Please allow us to thank you. To the almost 500 people who came out to support F.E. Burleson Night at David's Catfish Cabin, we appreciate the support shown to help raise $4,000 for the playground project.
We would also like to thank the staff at F.E. Burleson School for allowing us to participate in such a special occasion that we will always cherish.
All of the time and energy they volunteered to help us make the night a success will be rewarded. We could not have done it without them.
To our staff, we would like to say thanks also for all they do.
To all the local media coverage, especially the Hartselle Enquirer and Z-TV Channel 11, for going over and beyond to help spread the word, thank you.

Poppy Day raises money for veterans
Editor,
On behalf of the John F. Thompson Post 52 of the American Legion Auxiliary, I would like to thank the many businesses and citizens of Hartselle for making "Poppy Day" a success.
Over $1,200 was raised to support our veterans. I would especially like to thank Wal-Mart, Kroger, Hometown Grocery and Hardee's for allowing our members to stand outside their businesses and distribute the poppies.
I would also like to thank the many Auxiliary volunteers who withstood the hot, humid weather to help make this day a success.
Lastly, I want to thank the people of Hartselle and the surrounding communities who donated to this great cause.
It's so comforting to be part of a town that cares about its veterans in such a passionate way.

Candidate's wife on campaign trail
Editor:
We're on the campaign trail once again. Can you believe it has been four years?
Again, I want to thank you for your vote and support of my husband, Don.
In the past campaigns, I have taken off on Friday to help with the campaign, so, starting July 2, I will once again be off on Fridays through the November general election.
I appreciate your support and understanding on this campaign decision, but most of all for your vote for my husband, Don Stisher, Morgan County Commissioner District Three.
