Funeral for Melvin Elliott, 81, of Hartselle was Friday, April 30, 2004, at 1 p.m. at Hartselle Heritage Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jerry Burns officiating.
Burial was in Burningtree Memorial Gardens in Decatur.
Mr. Elliott died Wednesday, April 28, 2004, at his residence. He was born in Limestone County to James Thomas Elliott and Mary Carter Elliott. He was a truck driver for ConAgra. Mr. Elliott was a World War II veteran serving in the U.S. Army and was retired from the National Guard after 38 years of service. He was a member of Rural Grove Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Jacob Ramsey Waite.
He is survived by his wife, Mildred Elliott of Hartselle; one son, Mike Elliott of Hartselle; three daughters, Doris Orr of Hartselle, Connie Johnson of Trinity and Angelia Waite of Madison; one sister, Audrea Stutts of Ardmore; nine grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.
