Funeral for Charles David Wright, 56, of Decatur was Monday, April 26, at 1 p.m. at Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Billy Cagle and the Rev. Shirley Byrum officiating.
Burial was in Burningtree Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Wright died Saturday, April 24, 2004, at his residence. He was born April 7, 1948, in Selma to Norman Jack Wright and Minnie Peace Wright. He was retired from Fruehauf and Dunlop where he was a master mechanic for 10 years. He was a Vietnam Veteran, serving in the Air Force.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Wright of Decatur; one son, Charles Wright and wife Melanie of Hartselle; one daughter, Michelle Strawder and husband Gary of Decatur; three brothers, Sid Wright and Jack Wright, both of Decatur; and John Wright of Hartselle; one sister, Joann Allen of Springfield, Mo.; and three grandchildren, Briley and Braxton Strawder and Karli Wright.
Pallbearers were Tommy Willingham, Jackie Williams, Randy Barbrey, Tim Willingham, Jimmy Copeland and Jerry Vines.
